Not One...but TWO PEOPLE

Pittacus Lore is just a pseudonym for two authors. Their names are James Frey and Jobie Hughes. Hughes is more public and therefore most of the Pittacus Lore contact info is his.

Jobie Hughes was born on July 9, 1980 in Renton, Washington. However he was raised in the small town of Spencer, Ohio. He earned a business degree in Management Information Systems which he only chose because he didn't know what he wanted to do. For the next five years he worked horrible jobs, from most of which he was fired. He started writing when he was 24 and when he was 27 he moved to NYC to attend Columbia University's School of the Arts. He graduated with an MFA in Fiction Creative Writing in May 2009.

James Frey was born on September 12, 1969 in Cleveland, Ohio. He worked as a screenwriter, director, and producer in LA after studying at Denison University and the Art Institute of Chicago. In 1996 he took a year off to write his first fictional novel, A Million Little Pieces, which was reportedly turned down by so many publishers that he decided to rewrite it as a memoir. Oprah chose his book for her monthly book club, causing millions of copies to be sold. Due to the hype, many started to become skeptical about the contents of the book. The Smoking Gun, an investigative website, discredited Frey and he then apologized on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

"The Power of Six is much more action-packed than the first. There are some issues of betrayal and love and sacrifices."
