Please join us as the Honors Alumni Council celebrates this year’s Distinguished Alumni Award recipient Robert Berry (CLA ’08).
Robert will be giving a talk about his work with refugee and migrant populations, focusing on U.S. humanitarian assistance and the urgency we face to rethink global institutions intended to end suffering and offer hope to humanity. From a student in his current Honors Forced Migration Around the World class, "Berry stripes away the divisiveness of immigration from both political sides and media sources, rather exposing the realities of the humanitarian crisis that we are finding ourselves in."
Robert graduated from Temple with a degree in Religion and Asian Studies and went on to earn a Masters in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School, Tufts University. Later he was a Fulbright Scholar in Jordan and Oman. He currently serves as an adjudications officer for the Department of Homeland Security working with refugees and asylum seekers.
In true Honors fashion, food, drinks, and merriment will follow in the Honors Lounge.
**Fox Immersion Points are available for attending this event.
