Reflections from Ms. Williams
WBMS Parents and Guardians –
What a joy it was to welcome some of our students into the building this week for 1:1 appointments and to see so many at the wonderful PTA-sponsored Webb Way Wednesday parade. (Join PTA - https://wbmspta.membershiptoolkit.com/login?r=%2FOpen_Forms) With Dr. Looney’s announcement at the last board meeting, we are close to opening our doors to more students soon. This week’s Friday Notes message will focus on a broad overview of Phase 3. I will send more detailed information throughout next week.
- Phase 3 begins September 21st.
- Families may opt to participate and send their children to WBMS to learn face to face (F2F) one day a week, or they may select to continue learning at home for first semester.
- I will send a link for families to use to communicate this decision next week.
- Families will be clustered by their household name and placed in four groups.
- WBMS will send an email to each family next week specifying which group you are in to be clear.
- Students in group 1 may attend school face to face classes on Monday; group 2 on Tuesday; group 3 on Thursday; group 4 on Friday.
- Group 1= A-E; Group 2 = F-K; Group 3 = L-P; Group 4= Q - Z
- Wednesday is a URL day, all students will learn at home and teachers will teach both synchronously and asynchronously.
- We will return to our regular face to face schedule (see below)
- Staff and students must wear masks.
- Students and staff who are symptomatic and/or awaiting COVID test results must stay home.
Again, I will send detailed information regarding arrival, dismissal, and other procedures next week. For now, enjoy the slightly cooler weather and your weekend! Be well and be sure to mark your calendar for Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 24th from 6 – 8.

New Carpool Procedure-Sign up for a Carpool Tag
We are looking ahead and preparing for our students’ return. 😊 When we are back face to face in phase 3 and beyond, we will dismiss carpool students differently to maximize social distancing. Thus, we will use carpool numbers to dismiss students based on your arrival. Please complete the following form if you will be picking up your student on any day this school year. You will need your student’s Student ID number, which can be found in Infinite Campus to complete the form.
If your student always rides the bus home, walks, or rides a bike, you do not need to complete the form. If you have more than one student at WBMS, you only need one number per household.
Thank you!

Announcing The Community Cupboard
Do you know a family in need at WBMS?
Please reach out to our counseling staff so we can find ways to help.
We are so happy to announce our new PTA and SGC initiative, the Community Cupboard. This will provide emergency necessities for families in our school experiencing hardship. Over the last 2 weeks our community has rallied behind this project and provided many school supplies so all children can start the year off on the right foot. Now we will work on stocking out cupboard with household items of need.
Please consider making a donation! Current needs can be found HERE. We also have an Amazon Wish List.
