A note from the Nurse...

Hello Cougar Cub Families!

State mandated health screening for vision, hearing and Acanthosis Nigricans ( non-invasive prediabetic screening) have begun in the TES Clinic this month. All students in Kinder, First and Third grade, as well as any new students to Tomball ISD, will be screened per state guidelines. Students who fail their screening will be sent home with a referral for parents to seek further evaluation from their medical doctor or eye doctor.

Please reach out to the School Nurse with any questions!

Cafeteria

Be sure to set up your child's account and any restrictions using the School Cafe app.

Breakfast Ends at 8:30am

In order to maximize instructional time in classrooms, we are changing our breakfast procedures for students to eat breakfast in the cafeteria BEFORE going to their classrooms. Because of this, students will need to be in the cafeteria by 8:30 in order to get breakfast. We will always work with late buses and ensure students who arrive late due to bus routes have access to breakfast as needed, but students arriving by car/walker will need to be dropped off before 8:30 in order to go through the breakfast line. Our doors open between 8:05-8:10

Lunch Visitors and Snacks

Lunch visitors will be welcome to join students for lunch starting September 25th. We appreciate your patience while we allow teachers and students to get into a routine in the cafeteria for the 1st month of school.

Birthday treats must be store bought and single serve items that do not require additional cutting. It is vital that the teachers are able to verify ingredients for allergies and be able to quickly pass out items at the end of lunch or recess.

Arrival/Dismissal Routes

Please take a minute to look at the map of traffic routes for arrival and departure. As you can see, there are three routes of moving traffic at these times, therefore it is imperative for the safety and flow of our students that walkers are not parking on campus and then walking up to the doors. Please call the front office or stop by for car rider or walker tags. Reminder that our doors open at 8:10 am and the tardy bell rings at 8:40 am. Dismissal begins at 3:50 pm.
