Rock Ledge Intermediate Center
January 2024
A note from Mrs. McKeefry
As we move into 2024 we reflect on the last year with hopes and dreams of what 2024 can look like. RLI has a lot of things to celebrate from 2023 such as student growth both academically and socially. One of my hopes for the new year is that students at RLI will continue to THINK before they speak or act. THINK are the words and actions true, helpful, inspiring, necessary and kind so that RLI can be an even better, more kind place to be in 2024.

Rock Ledge Giving Tree
A HUGE thank you goes out to everyone who was able to donate to the giving tree at RLI! Through your generosity, we were able to help many families with personal hygiene items this holiday season. The items were donated to Community 2000. May your 2024 be happy and healthy!
When do we keep students inside?
As we all know, January brings shifts in the weather. We have received some questions regarding when we keep students in from recess. If the temperature drops below zero, with the wind chill, students will remain inside for recess. We use the Weather channel to check the temperatures throughout the day. We are asking that you continue to send your child(ren) with snow pants, boots, hats and mittens/gloves every day because there are days where the temperature will rise by recess.
Don't Forget the Doctor's Note
If your child misses school for a medical appointment or they are out sick and you take them to the doctor, don't forget the doctor's note. Send the medical excuse with your child to school and we will get your child's absence excused medically. Any questions please call the school office at 920-833-7380.
American Heart Association Kids Heart Challenge
The American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge program will be kicking off on January
29th and we invite you to join us as we Celebrate a Legacy of Lifesavers and continue the fight
against heart disease and stroke!
