Principal's Message
We had a great start to the 22-23 school year!
MyStudent Portal and Required Acknowledgments:
Please be sure to visit your MyStudent Portal and complete the required acknowledgments.
If you have elected to opt out of the Media Release for your student, please be aware that this selection also excludes your student from school pictures, being in our yearbook or school newsletters, and social media/media recognition for sports or academic success.
If you would like for your student to have school pictures made and be included in the yearbook, you can update your selection in the MyStudent portal under the Forms Summary section. Yearbook picture day is scheduled for August 25, so please update your Media Release form before that date if you wish your student to be photographed at school.
If your opt out was done fully informed with all of the additional information above, we respect your decision. If you have any questions about any item, please reach out to your student's grade level team.
Student Drop Off and Pickup:
- The front bus loop is CLOSED to car traffic and student drop off between the times of 6:40 and 7:30 a.m.
- Student drop off is to be completed in the GYM parking lot off Henry. Please pull all the way forward so we can effectively and efficiently drop off students.
- Please be careful and maintain safe/slow speed in all parking lots to ensure student safety.
Bulldog PRIDE:
Our behavior, academic, and conduct standards are exemplified through Bulldog PRIDE.
PRIDE stands for
Proud
Respectful
Individual Thinker
Dedicated to Academics
Engaged
During the school year, we recognize students for showing Bulldog PRIDE in the classroom, in the cafeteria, on campus, and in the community with HERO points and other rewards.
Closed Campus:
ZHS is a closed campus. Students are expected to remain on campus for the entire school day and do not have permission to leave campus for food/lunch. Additionally, outside food, food delivery, and food sales is not allowed, as it jeopardizes our Free and Reduced Meal status. These deliveries will be refused.
We are Bulldog STRONG!

Dual Enrollment Registration Information
- Students who have not completed their PHSC application or their Dual Enrollment Online Request Form (also known as the Dynamic Form) need to do so ASAP in order to be approved to register for classes at PHSC.
- This requirement includes students who plan to take English Composition 1 ENC1101 this Fall as a Dual Enrollment class on ZHS campus.
- In order to meet the qualifications to take Dual Enrollment, students must have at least a 3.0 unweighted GPA and must have passed the required PERT tests.
- The PHSC and ZHS websites have the most recent information for qualifying and applying to PHSC, filling out the Dual Enrollment Online Request Form, accessing the student's PHSC WISE account, and for Dual Enrollment registration starting this week.
If there are issues with the student's WISE account or the Dual Enrollment Online Request Form, students should contact PHSC directly for assistance. ZHS Staff members and Dual Enrollment students will be available on ZHS campus to help with Dual Enrollment questions during the morning office hours.
