Valley River RV Resort
Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds
There are 93 sites in the first area and 119 paved sites, open year-round, in the second area. Most sites offer beautiful views of Lake Chatuge, and campers can take advantage of the Fairgrounds' many amenities including a playground, boat ramp, paved playing courts, full time Park Ranger/Security Guard, shaded picnic tables and the Hamilton Rhododendron Gardens.
Reservations: Campgrounds are open YEAR ROUND! A minimum stay of two nights is required. Monthly spaces available first working day of November (preceeding year) and spaces reserved for the week or for the day are available the first working day of January (current year) by phone only. Maximum of one site per phone call for selected dates. Reservations can be made by calling (706) 896-4191.
West Tubing Company
West Tubing Company is an outdoor adventure center located in Warne, NC. They offer float trips as well as kayak trips. Also available is cabin rentals, and camping opportunities.
Prices are $19.95 for primitive, $29.95 for platform tent, $39.95 for platform tent with air mattress, chairs and power and $69.95 for glamping cabins. All rates are nightly .
J&J's Getaway Campground and RV Park
The two bathhouses offer individual showers+restrooms and are open 24-hours. The laundry facility is located in bathhouse #1 for guests to use. We take pride in our clean facilities and want you to have the best camping experience at J&J’s Getaway.
Don't have a camper? J&J's has two remodeled vintage camper rentals that are cozy and comfortable.
Murphy/Peace Valley KOA
The Murphy/Peace Valley KOA is located one mile from Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino. They offer furnished Deluxe Cabins, shady full hook up RV sites with Cable TV and Wi-Fi internet, tent camping and RV storage. Amenities include a swimming pool, laundry/bath house, play ground, pet play area, and tubing and fishing. All on the scenic Valley River. Open year round.

Chamber Happenings!
Forks and Corks; Local Savor 2023 is happening June 1, 2023! Come out and taste our local cuisine. This event gives the community a chance to experience offerings from our area restaurants, caterers, breweries, wineries and much more. Vendors List: FernCrest Winery, Sage, Legends Steakhouse, Hoppy Trout Brewing Co., The Crown Restaurant, Red Brick Deli 2, Buck Bald Brewing Company, Grapevine of North Carolina, Julies' Place, Mimo's Ice Cream & Twisted Treats, Snowbird Mountains Brewery, Smoky Mountain BBQ Company, and Murphy's Chophouse. A big thank you to Miller Welling Drilling for providing a complimentary water station.
Tickets for the event may be purchased online or at the Chamber office now. Attendees will be asked to select a reservation time of 5:00 pm or 6:30 pm at the time of ticket purchase. We are offering only 300 tickets this year and attendance is by reservation only. All ticket purchasers will be checked in at the event based on a paid registration. All ticket holders will be issued an event passport during check-in at the event. Ticket holders with a complete passport at the close of their reservation will be given a complimentery ticket for the auction.

Lunch & Learn presented by ClearWinds Technologies
On June 28th, Clear Winds Technologies, a trusted IT support partner in the Southeast since 2001, will present a Cybersecurity Seminar entitled: “You’ve been Hacked: Cybersecurity Case Studies and How to Minimize Vulnerabilities”. Registration is required to attend.
This event will be presented as a lunch & learn from 11:30-1pm in the Crisp Building, Room 100 at the Tri-County Community College main campus in Murphy.
There is no charge for this event and a complimentary box-lunch is included with a registration deadline of Friday, June 23rd through the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce or The TCCC Small Business Development Office.

Jasmine Best is a mixed media artist creating dialogues about black female identity in the south.
Jasmine Best is a true Southern Artist, gathering narratives from her Carolinian family and childhood. The North Carolina based artist uses her personal memories and manipulations of her memories to create dialogues about the black female identity in the south and in predominantly white spaces.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia. Jasmine was recently awarded the Artwork Archive Art Business Grant. She works with tangible and traditional mediums combined with digital means of art making. Her work often depicts maternal figures, each depicting the diversity and qualities that make up the black southern women in her life through several generations.
