Parents/Guardians/Students,
It was so nice outside this weekend. We hope that you were able to get out and enjoy the weather.
Starting March 22nd, students will be back to a Monday-Thursday schedule. A/B schedule will no longer be used. See Dr. Thomas's statement here.
We are so happy to have all our traditional students back in the building all four days!
Juniors: Since we will be back to four day weeks, testing dates will change. Mrs. Harp will post that soon.
Thursday is the last day of the 3rd 9 weeks. Report cards will be sent home after spring break.
March 23rd Mrs. Harp will be taking a small group of students to Mid-America Technology Center that would like a second look and/or still need to do an "interview" with their counselor.
Thank you to all the seniors that showed up to take the ACT and took it seriously. Be sure to check out the "Scholarships" page below.
After spring break, things to look for are:
1. 21-22 Course request instructions.
2. New Concurrent information
3. Mid-America Technology Center information for newly accepted students.

For ALL military & Tinker civilian employees & their families
This message was sent to me from an employee at Tinker Air Force Base. This resource is for Military & TAFB employees and their families ONLY. Contact your boss for more information if needed.
- Mrs. Harp
2020 was without a doubt a year that presented new challenges in everything from how we live, shop, interact and how our school age children learn. School continues to be one of the primary concerns for our AFMC personnel and their families as we roll into 2021.
Tutor.com is a valuable resource we wanted to highlight which can provide help with both the K-12 and college settings as well as an at-home virtual learning environment. You and your family members are able to receive various services ranging from individual appointments providing step-by-step instruction or help with specific curriculum challenges..
Services can be requested by going to https://military.tutor.com/home and clicking on the link for “tutoring”. Access is provided free to all military and DoD civilian employees. Additionally, the Federal Education and Emergency Assistance program (FEEA.org) has scholarships, emergency hardship loans, disaster relief and discounted activities that civilian employees and their families can apply for.
Our workforce has demonstrated exceptional resilience and perseverance throughout 2020 and now into 2021. We encourage you to take advantage of the great programs like Tutor.com and FEEA.org to help ease the stress along the way.
How many credits do I need?
Course selection for next year will be after spring break. This video will help your students understand what courses they need to take. It is very important decisions on courses involve the student. We must work together to prepare for success.
Many careers are covered: Meteorologist, Video Editor, Police Officer, Realtor, Actor, Nurse, Doctor, Interior Design, Banking, Magician, Construction, Graphic Design, Sonographer, & more!!!
Parents- Interested in doing a virtual tour to colleges from home?
--IN THE "LAHS G-CLASSROOM" STUDENTS HAVE ACCESS TO DO VIRTUAL TOURS WITH COLLEGES. A SCAVENGER HUNT HAS BEEN ADDED. THIS WILL ALLOW THE STUDENT TO LOOK UP INFORMATION THAT SHOULD BE IMPORTANT TO THEM WHEN LOOKING AT COLLEGES.
Scholarship & College Information

Mrs. Harp forwards college and scholarship information as well. CHECK your student e-mail!!
Start earning college credit
University of Oklahoma
This summer, students can amplify their Concurrent Enrollment experience by taking five hours of college credit at OU and experiencing life as a Sooner through our Sooner Discovery program, which will occur virtually for the summer of 2021. Sooner Discovery’s goal is to provide high school students a unique and full college immersion experience.
Students can also take classes online or on campus this summer by applying for Concurrent Enrollment. Rising Oklahoma seniors will receive a tuition waiver from the state for up to 18 hours their senior year, so all they would have to pay is a reduced fee rate of $80 per hour! You can find the application here.
Yearbook
YEARBOOK ALERT:
IT’S LOVED FOREVER
The hand-written notes from classmates. Actual PRINTED photos. The chance to look back at outdated hairstyles. All this and more is why there's nothing like a yearbook.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
Even during these unusual times, the Little Axe High School yearbook team is working hard to create a yearbook that is one-of-a-kind and reflects the unique moments that students are experiencing this year.
