Gabby is an outstanding band student and seeing her growth over the last 3 years has been amazing! She is kind, respectful and brings a positive attitude to class every day. The future is bright for Gabby and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for her. Thanks for giving it your all for 3 years and making the Bedford JH Band a better place!
ETHAN RANGEL
Ethan Rangel is a quiet leader in class: he is a tireless worker, extremely creative, and always positive. Ethan is a shining example of what makes Bedford Best!
MYA SCHNEIDER
Mya Schneider is an extremely talented student. Her work is exceptional and she readily accepts additional projects and challenges with a smile. She is a joy to have in class.
STEVEN CASSIDY
Steven Cassidy is an awesome student. He consistently finishes his assignments on time and strives for perfection. Steven is a great helper in class and is always ready to help in any way needed.
REESE HOLSINGER
Reese is a joy to have in band class! She is very naturally talented and a hard worker which is a great combination. Reese completes all of her assignments ahead of time and has maintained an average of over 100 all year!
CAMERON CONRAD
Cameron is an awesome band student! He has maintained an average of over 100 all year through lots of hard work and dedicated practice. He always come to class prepared and gives his best effort every day!
REGISTRATION FOR BRONCO BASH EXTENDED TILL SUNDAY!
REGISTRATION ENDS THIS WEEKEND!
Bedford Junior High will be hosting an end of year event to celebrate our student's hard work. On May 17 during 7th period, students that register will participate in a colorful event “chalk” full of fun activities. Students will register online to hold their spot, order their t-shirt, and register for extra drawings. Students must maintain excellent behavior to remain eligible for the celebration. All students are eligible for the event.
You must register online to participate (see button below). If you are a first time user for School Cash Online you will first register then log in. Once logged in School Cash online you will want to select Bronco Bash followed by the desired level of involvement. There are three different levels to choose from.
Basic:
$15.00 T-shirt + 2 color pkgs
Deluxe:
$25.00 T-shirt + 5 color pkgs
Super Deluxe:
$35.00 T-shirt, 5 color pkgs + color bottle
Students will have the opportunity to earn additional color packets through challenges and early online ordering during the school day leading up to the big event. Listen to announcements during second period, read digital signage and connect on Instagram @bedfordjuniorhigh for opportunities to add color to your battle!

STUDENTS COMPETE IN REGION 11 CITIZEN BEE
Congratulations to Abrahem Sawan and Alec Crawford on their outstanding job at the Region 11 - 8th Grade Bee in a Box Citizen Bee sponsored by Law Related Education. These young men competed on Saturday at Pat May, showing their amazing knowledge of 8th grade U.S. History. There were over 35 participants and BJH secured the 4th and 7th places! We are extremely proud of these young men and their representation of Bedford Junior High!

COACH HARTLEY TAKES ONE FOR THE TEAM!
Bedford JH is preparing for our 2019 Bronco Bash. Bronco Bash is an event for our students hosted during 7th period on May 17th. Students can register online to spend the period having fun outside, making a mess and making memories with friends. Coach Hartley was brave enough to step up to the plate and reward students after we broke our 150th registration. Thanks Coach for taking one for the team.

On May 1st, Caren Lawrence was awarded a $500 grant from the Texas Retired Teachers Foundation to assist in the purchase of supplies to build DNA models for all biology teachers in the district.

L.D. BELL ATHLETIC TRAINING PROGRAM ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
If you are a Freshman interested in a future in any healthcare field, just want to be part of the athletic programs, or have a desire to help others, then the Athletic Training Program at L.D. Bell High school may be just the place for you. As a Student Athletic Trainer, you would assist the adult Athletic Trainers in keeping the athletes healthy and in their game. For more information, come by the office or see your counselor to pick up the flyer with contact information.

Please consider helping out your kids school by volunteering a little of your time. Bedford Junior High offers multiple opportunities that currently need some assistance. Morning Crosswalk Duty, Workroom Responsibilities, and as always Concession Sales on Fridays and game days. We would love to see you involved in your kids school and this is a great way to start.

ATHLETIC RESULTS
8TH GRADE GIRLS SOCCER
Congratulations to the 8th grade soccer Team 1 for defeating Hurst 2-1.
The team was led by 2 goals from Sydney Knight and Julia Loya created several good scoring opportunities as well. The midfield effort was led by Daniella Peterson, Natalia Rich and Alyssa Mitchell. While the defense was solid led by good organization and effort from Mallory Still, Reagan Warren, Maggie Lewis, Danessa Sommers, Makayah Morgan, Pricile Tishilumba and Maddox Vickers. This team is now 2 in 0 and getting better every week! Way to go Lady Broncos Soccer!
Congratulations to the 8th grade girls B soccer team, they defeated Hurst yesterday 4-1.
Diana Cooper scored 1 goal, Natalie Flynn scored 1, McKenzie Jones scored one, and Arwen Wilks scored one on a penalty kick. Awesome defense by Jazmin Rodriguez, Canton Lipham, and Emma Lasoi. Excellent pressure by Lauren Wells, Arwen Wilks, and Haylee Braham. Way to go Lady Broncos!
