PBIS
What is PBIS? Schoolwide PBIS is a framework, with a focus on systems, teaming, and data informed decision making to establish a powerfully positive climate that leads to high levels of learning for all students. To begin our journey towards implementing schoolwide PBIS, the team is requesting that everyone read the article Rethinking Discipline. We recommend reading it sooner rather than later so you can ponder it's points prior to our work together during Teacher Work week. Please see the article attached to the email. It's a very quick read.

New This Year! Meet & Greet in August - Open House in September
Later, on Open House on September 24 for ECSE am, Kg am, & Grades PK - 2 and on September 25 for ECSE pm, Kg pm, & Grades 3 - 5, is a time for teachers to conduct more formal presentations to parents. This is a time to share classroom expectations, how student goal setting will work, information about Schoology, Morning Meeting, etc. Plan for this time to last about 45 minutes.
Knowing parents will want to conference with teachers, please consider posting a sign-up sheet for parents to let you know they want to meet with you to share the joys of their child.
PBIS Survey - completion deadline Aug. 1, 2018
The PBIS team needs your help understanding your impressions on discipline and any previous experience with PBIS you may have had. To gather this information, the PBIS team is requesting all Teachers and Teacher Assistants to complete this survey by August 1, 2018, so we can use this information to guide our PBIS implementation next year. (This was sent out via email June 28 - please disregard if you've already completed this survey.)
