Christmas Dinner: Baton Rouge Coordinating Council

December 6, 2016 at City Cafe'

We had a wonderful night at City Cafe' for our Baton Rouge Coordinating Council Christmas Dinner. It was wonderful to see so many new and current members of the four coordinating council chapters attend. Linda's daughter, Kelly, was also able to attend to help celebrate the spirit of DKG.

Thanks to the coordinating council for organizing the event.

Our Gamma Eta First Vice President, Debbie Usie, did a FABULOUS job of creating a Christmas Trivia game as the program. Now I know that The Christmas Song has the line "chestnuts roasting on an open fire" and that line is NOT the title of the song. Thank you, Debbie, for enlightening me!!

At the dinner, Gamma Gamma gave a donation to our special project, "Restoring One Classroom at a Time." Thank you, Gamma Gamma, for your generous donation.

Sarah Gallion, a new Gamma Eta member, and I were also able to talk about donations of art supplies, provided by her husband's grandmother's friends (California and Arizona) to our special project. Sarah, thank you again for the generosity Bee and her friends have shown our south Louisiana teachers.

As always, I feel so lucky to be a member of Gamma Eta, and I hope to continue the legacy of excellence that our founding sisters began.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays-

Upcoming Literature Discussion: February 21st Meeting

Still Alice will be our book that we discuss, so please don't forget to read it!

There will be a panel of Gamma Eta sisters who will lead the discussion.
