Principal's Corner
Welcome Back to 2nd Semester! We are so excited about some new things that we are doing and fun activities being planned for the Spring! Just a few updates I wanted to make sure you were aware of:
- Tutoring and GAP will begin January 17th! There will be NO tutoring next week!
- Please talk to your child about wearing hoods inside the building. We are continuing to have students with hoods on inside. This is not only a dress code violation but a safety concern as well. Students that continue to violate this expectation will be required to remove jackets while in the building during the day.
- Moving forward, there will be no food allowed in the classrooms unless authorized by the teacher for snack time or other needs. Breakfast will be disposed of at 8:20 (including outside food brought in). Students will also not be allowed to take ANY food from the cafeteria.
We appreciate your help and support talking to your students about these things!
New MYON Challenge
REMINDER:
Attendance Reminders
Reminder that once a student reaches 10 unexcused absences, the will be referred for truancy court.
In addition, state law required students to meet 90% attendance for the school year or will risk being retained for the school year- this applies to excused and unexcused absences.
