NEWS FROM THE HEADS
It's has been a week revolving around choices...
And in preparing for an assembly on choices I found some interesting facts on the internet; Whilst choosing between the ability to fly or read minds, was split 50-50 in an online vote. CC Senior Girls were far more in the flying camp! Quite prepared to go against the trend at CC Girls.

“Take every chance, drop every fear and always reach for the stars!”
This week we celebrated National Storytelling Week. Our theme was Beatrix Potter and boy did the girls have fun! There have been puppet shows, Mr McGregor’s Garden creations, individual Beatrix Potter stories written, watercolour paintings and a real life Peter Rabbit! The girls have thoroughly enjoyed hearing and telling stories this week; so much learning has taken place. Having the flexibility to go off timetable to learn about things that the girls enjoy is one of the many benefits of Claires Court.

This not only includes their project itself, but also their written reports, presentation slides and notes and their production log. Most girls have finished all sections, but may just need a gentle reminder to organise printing and collection together of them ready for the final lesson before Half Term. Thank you!

JUNIOR GIRLS STOCK-MARKET
YEAR 6 TAKE ON THE STOCK-MARKET!
The girls in Year 6 sold all of their shares on Tuesday 2 February (as did many people around the world in answer to the Global markets being in trading turmoil). There was little doubt for first and second place, as they have been ahead for the last three weeks, but third place went to a late finisher, whose share prices rose dramatically on the last day of trading.
Therefore, the Stock Market exercise for 2016 is now completed and here are the results
The overall winner and Stockbroker of 2016 is: Georgia Fewkes.
Second place went to: Oluwanifemi Oladoyinbo
Third place went to: Isobel Lansdown
If any parents require advice for their future investments, they can get in contact with the class, and they will offer sound financial advice.
