News from the Principal
Dear Discovery Families,
The beautiful weather this past weekend, along with the warm weather we are expecting the rest of the week, reminds us that summer is right around the corner. That means another school year is quickly coming to a close. As we wind down and enjoy our last few weeks together, I want to thank each of you for the contributions you’ve made to your child's learning and to our school community. This year, more than any other, we've relied on families to partner with us to support their student's learning. We have asked you to be flexible and patient as we have all learned new ways of doing and being during this challenging time. If the pandemic has taught us anything, it is to be thankful for what we have. For all that you have given and sacrificed to support your children, thank you! Our school community is truly grateful for each of you. We couldn’t do our work, and our students wouldn’t be as successful, without the support of each of you.
On behalf of the entire Discovery school staff I wish you a summer filled with sunshine and relaxation, and one that allows you to be with family and loved ones. We look forward to seeing our returning families in the fall (school starts Sept. 1), and we wish students and families moving to new school communities great success.
In partnership,
Shannon Koehnen
Proud Principal
