Please send your students in with a reusable water bottle. The first few weeks of school are always hot. We have refilling stations for the students to access and in most classrooms, they are encouraged to keep them on their desk or nearby.
We had a visit from Superintendent Jeanne Gearon today!
Visitor Policy and Procedures
It's the start of a new year so we would like to remind everyone to please respect the school's policy regarding visits, volunteering, and simply entering the building: We ask that all visitors, including parents, report to the school office upon entering the school building and sign into our Visitor Log. This includes dropping off something to your child or speaking with a teacher during the school day.
Please know that we realize this is inconvenient but our first priority is making sure that your children are safe, that we are aware of everyone who is currently in our building, and that we are compliant with all policies within the State of Vermont and the Diocese of Burlington. Thank you so much for your understanding.
Please submit any outstanding paperwork
If you have any of the following, please return them by Tuesday:
- Your parent volunteer signup form
- Free/Reduced Lunch application*
- Any paperwork that came home in backpacks today from your teachers
Thank you to everyone for your diligence in returning paperwork, submitting payments, and tidying up any loose ends in the front office. The new enrollment packet process is working as we had hoped, and we are so far ahead of where we were last year.
*We need free and reduced lunch applications at your earliest convenience. If you are unsure if you might qualify, you are encouraged to submit an application or schedule some time to speak with Mrs Gauthier in the front office. This is a wonderful program of benefit to families. It also helps to benefit our school through the provision of Title 1 funds.
Have you finalized your Payment Plan?
BREAKFAST LUNCH AND AFTER SCHOOL MEAL MENUS
Breakfast is $2.50 and Lunch is $3.75
Check out all of these delicious breakfast and lunch options for the month!
If you would like your child to have breakfast, please make sure they order it the day beforehand. This will allow us time to bake or prepare meals that are ready to go the next day.
After School Meal Program
Attached, please find the After School Meal Program (AMP) menu for the month.
If you are unfamiliar with "AMP" this is a free meal program, sponsored by the state, and available to all students who stay after school for any reason. If your child is staying for aftercare, sports, drama, tutoring etc. they are welcome to order AMP in the morning and eat in the afternoon FOR FREE.
Students assemble down in Rand Hall to say a meal blessing and eat together. Then they are off to whatever activity they have planned for the afternoon.
Menus were given out in your packet this week. To cut down on paper waste, going forward, the menu will be available electronically here in the Hark, or you can pickup a hard copy in the office.

Parent Volunteers Needed
Here are some tasks that could be done around the school as credit towards your Parent Volunteer Hours:
- Finish reorganizing the uniform closet
- We would like one parent volunteer to help out on student picture day
- Can you give an hour each week or two to help out in our kitchen? It could be after you drop off your students, during the lunch hour, or before dismissal. Anything helps! Contact Bobbi Jo Anderberg to discuss your availability: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Tell Us How You Would Like to Help Out?!
