IMPORTANT NEWS AND REMINDERS
- This Friday, January 29, is a student holiday. Therefore, there will be no online instruction on Friday.
- Wednesdays are now synchronous learning days. Students will engage in live instruction on Wednesdays from 7:45 - 11:30 a.m.
- Please check your child's Teams calendar for their assigned afternoon small group days and times.
- We are now practicing the sight words on our next word list (SOCCER WORDS). The new word list is attached in this newsletter below. We will continue to review the Baseball Words and encourage you to continue to review them at home as well.

HOMEWORK DUE BY FRIDAY
- Complete the Reading Comprehension activity sent to you in Seesaw.
- Log into Reading A to Z and choose 3 books to read from Level B and up. Read each book at least twice. Then, choose your favorite one and use the record button in Reading A to Z to record yourself reading the book out loud. Complete your recording in a quiet place, and make sure you speak loudly and clearly in your recording. Your recording will automatically be sent to me when you press done. Last, take the quiz for the book you chose to record, if one is available.
- Complete the 3 math assignments sent to you in Seesaw.
- Complete 15 minutes in Lexia every day. The time you spend in Lexia is automatically reported to me daily. This is a required part of daily instruction.
- Complete 15 minutes in Dreambox every day. The time you spend in Dreambox is automatically reported to me daily. This is a required part of daily instruction.

DAILY MATERIALS
Please make sure your child has supplies available at home in order to complete asynchronous assignments. They will need the following materials:
- pencils, crayons (or markers/colored pencils)
- paper (paper can be found in the binder pockets and at the end of the packet)
- dry erase boards, dry erase markers, and an eraser (old socks work well)
- books (many can be found inside the supply bag)
- iPad/charger
- a set of 20 objects for counting

Seesaw
This week, students will begin using Seesaw to turn in homework. Seesaw is an easy-to-use platform that resembles an on-line portfolio. An email with unique home-learning codes has been sent to each students' email address.
