Counselor's Corner
Angleton Junior High
We're Here to Help!
Your school counselors can help in a variety of ways. Our job is to make sure students and their families have the tools they need to be successful throughout life. We meet with students individually and in small groups, teach guidance lessons, provide resources for families, and conference with parents & teachers. Additionally, we coordinate programs and assist with scheduling, testing, documentation, and much more!
Basically, our job is to support the entire school community including parents, teachers, and students. Most importantly, we LOVE what we do!

All About Coping Skills
Coping strategies are techniques that help reduce negative feelings when someone is feeling under stress. Those feelings might be the result of anxiety, anger, depression, or just general day-to-day stress. Practicing coping strategies can help kids and young adults learn how to manage their emotions in a positive way. (Scully, 2018)
Parent Toolkit
