Request for Applications: March of Dimes Supportive Pregnancy Care (Group Prenatal Care)

March of Dimes California is pleased to release a Request for Applications to identify a clinic site* in Sacramento, CA to implement March of Dimes Supportive Pregnancy Care (Group Prenatal Care) starting in 2020.
March of Dimes Supportive Pregnancy Care is a flexible group prenatal care program that aligns with prenatal care guidelines established by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Supportive Pregnancy Care is delivered in a group setting and includes all elements of prenatal care and education.
March of Dimes will offer a two-year training and implementation support package to one clinical site* in Sacramento, CA. The implementation package will include one on-site training for clinicians and staff, ongoing technical assistance, patient education materials, and a $3500 stipend to purchase start-up supplies. Please refer to page 3 of the attached Request for Applications for complete list of services and resources included in the implementation package.

*Please note, while we anticipate that one clinic site will be selected through this RFA process, additional funding opportunities are expected in 2020-2021. We encourage interested clinics to complete the application to be considered for this and future opportunities.

Message from Sacramento County District 3 Supervisor Susan Peters
Dear Friends,
Grand Jury service is often referred to as being a "citizen watchdog" of local government with the crucial role of monitoring and reviewing government actions.
The Sacramento County Superior Court is now accepting applications for Grand Jury service for the next Term. To be eligible you must be a U.S. Citizen, at least 18 years old, a resident of Sacramento County, and not currently serving in any elected office.

The application deadline is January 25, 2020.
Small As A Giant Photography and Conceptual Art Exhibition
Artist Ise Lyfe and The California Museum are excited to extend a special invitation to you and a guest for the premiere and opening reception for smallasaGIANT, a large-scale photography and conceptual art exhibition exploring the personal and societal stories of adult prison sentencing of youth in California. The exhibit will be running at the California Museum from January 20 - March 15, 2020.
The exhibit features photographs of people sentenced anywhere from 20+ years to life in prison when they were under the age of 18, alongside conceptual and multi-media art centered around the broader realities of incarceration and popular opinion. Additional aspects of the exhibit include audio and visual narratives, life stories and convictions, family commentary, as well as provocative presentations of data/research on historical and current trends in juvenile justice.
