This summer, we will be offering two choices of courses:

• Online Michigan Virtual Essentials classes for credit recovery, taught by Michigan Virtual staff with a Brighton Area Schools mentor and in-person computer lab support at the BECC building.
  
• Online Michigan Virtual Plus classes for new credit, taught by Michigan Virtual staff with a Brighton Area Schools Mentor and in-person computer lab support at Brighton High School

All students who successfully complete their summer classes will earn a letter grade. This grade will be reflected on the student's high school transcript and is figured into their GPA.

Students can take up to 2 classes. Administrative approval is required to take additional classes.

Please read through the information below and register with the link at the bottom of the page. Please do NOT sign-up for your class with Michigan Virtual.

Registration for all classes begins May 22

Michigan Virtual Essentials:

• Classes available starting June 2*
• Pacing guides for Brighton students start: June 19
• Last day to register: June 29
• Last day to drop for a refund: 5 days after enrollment

• Classes available starting June 2*

• Last day to register: June 29
• Last day to drop for a refund: 5 days after enrollment
• Courses end: August 11th

*Students wishing to get a jump start on their summer courses can log in starting June 2nd. However, we do not expect students to start on that date. Since our school year doesn't end until June 14th, the official pacing guides we will use to track student progress for the summer do not start until later.

Michigan Virtual Essentials: $225

Michigan Virtual Plus: $350

• in cash (exact change only) at the Bridge office

• Lab hours are available each week. Lab attendance is optional; however, students must meet with their mentor once a week.
  
• All module exams for essentials classes as well as any midterms and final exams for plus courses must be taken in the lab and proctored by the student's mentor.

Online students will have virtual access to certified and highly qualified content teachers.

Online students will also have in-person and virtual access to a local mentor teacher.

Our mentors will be available to students during open lab times each week. The exact days and times of the open labs will be shared with students through Google classroom at the start of the summer.

• Ms. Robertson's lab is room 137 at The Bridge (In the BECC building)
• Miss Daig's lab is room A26 at Brighton High School

• Michigan Virtual Plus (online)
