Some Hurricanes:
1904 Was the hurricane worst in 170 years and killed 100 railroad men in the Keys.When it reached Pensacola it killed 34 people.
1909, 1910, 1919 A series of really bad hurricanes hit the Keys.It also damaged the Seven Mile Bridge.
1921 The last major hurricane hit Tampa and cost over million dollars in damage.The storm passed over the state and left at Jacksonville.
1935 This was the Florida Keys Labor Day hurricane.It was the strongest hurricane ever to hit the US.The winds were estimated to be about 250 miles per hour and it caused significant damage.
