Springs Studio Scoop
Springs Studio for Academic Excellence, January Edition
A Note from Executive Principal, Mr. Knoche
Additionally, I would like to share how wonderfully my Pizza with the Principal is going. I have seen some themes that our students recognize that we need to focus on. One issue coming out of a middle school luncheon was the desire for more opportunities to have volunteer and service-learning opportunities. We will make that a focus to increase opportunities. Other themes come around clubs, course loads, and mental health support. We are pleased to let everyone know that we have posted a new position for a social worker to help support those families and students who may need additional support in many challenging areas. We will have more to share in the coming weeks as we hire this person. Please continue to share ideas to continue growing our community and improving things for our students at SSAE. The 2020-2021 school year is going to be an exciting year.
Coffee with the Principal
We want to invite parents to join us for "Coffee with the Principal." A relaxed setting to have some great conversations about SSAE. We would love for you to bring questions, concerns, or suggestions about SSAE to our meeting. There are ten slots available for this meeting. We will have monthly meetings, so please only sign up once. This way we can have a new group of people each month!
We are looking forward to conversations about improving student success!
Pizza with the Principal for Middle & High School Students
Student voice matters, and so does a great lunch. Why not combine those two? I want to offer an opportunity for students to meet in a small group with me, Mr. Knoche, to share their experiences to help shape and refine the climate and culture of Springs Studio. I am looking for 12 students (different each month) to meet with me and share pizza and ideas. I will provide pizza, and you can share your ideas. Please sign up and bring ideas about how we can improve, tweak, or address certain issues at Springs Studio. This is a solution-minded get together, so you have to bring solutions if you want to see changes. I look forward to meeting with everyone.
