What a Difference a Year Makes

What a positive difference we have seen over the last year. Our conferences marked the one year anniversary of when we had to shut down shop and it feels great to know the progress we've made. While we still have a ways to go to get fully back up and running, we are certainly on the right path.

As part of that progress, I hope that you had an opportunity to connect with your student and their teacher during conferences to check their growth and to set some goals to help finish this year strong. Though things may be a bit different, we are all still working hard to ensure the best possible experience and outcome for students. As we plan out the rest of the year we will continue to collaborate and communicate with you. To that end, you'll find some information below that may be of some use.

Please take a thorough look the rest of the newsletter along with our websites and feel free to reach out with question if you still have any.

Kind regards,

Don Sims

{-}-{-}-{-}-{-} PE In the Gym;-) {-}-{-}-{-}-{-}

I wanted to give everyone a quick reminder that after careful consideration of our safety protocols, student activities, and classroom space, we made the decision to allow students to return to the gymnasium for PE beginning today, March 16th.

Students are always encouraged to bring at least one extra mask each day, but especially for the days they have PE. Students will be provided a surgical face mask by Mr. Sinnes for PE if they don't have an extra.

At this point PE is the only specialist that will change. We will continue to monitor our safety procedures and progress with community infection rates throughout implementation. At the end of March or beginning of April, we will look to review the potential for changes to Art and Music.

~Mask Reminder for Hybrid Student~

Wearing a mask at school is a very effective safety measure, but becomes less effective if masks are dirty. Please consider sending multiple masks to school with your student, and washing reusable masks regularly at home. An extra mask will be required for PE. If you are unable to provide or wash masks, please contact us and we will make sure to have surgical masks available for your student(s).
