Trexler Middle School - Promoting Excellence

Falcon Sports

Our Softball team won their game against Jacksonville Commons Middle School by a wide margin thanks to great defense and big hits. Their next game will be on Monday, October 3rd at 4:00 PM against Dixon Middle School at Trexler followed by another game on Wednesday, October 5th at 4:00 PM and new Bridge Middle School.

The Falcon Football team lost to a very big and fast Jacksonville Commons Middle football team on Tuesday. They have a bye next week but pick up action on Monday, October 10th in a home game against Dixon Middle School at 6:00 at Richlands High.

World's Finest Chocolate

Chocolates, Chocolates, Get Your Chocolate!!!! Trexler is selling The World's Finest Chocolate. Students that returned to school with the signed permission slip on Tuesday, September 27th went home with a box of 30 delicious chocolate bars. Each bar is sold for $2.00 so when each box is empty the student should return $60.00 to the school. Students are welcome to get another permission slip signed to get another box of chocolate to sell once their first box is all sold.

Prizes: Each time a student sells a whole box they go to the prize box where they are guaranteed to win a gourmet lollipop and could also win up to $50.00, a glow bracelet, or a 5 pound chocolate bar (pictured below). We had a student win $10.00 and another win $50.00 on Thursday.

They are also invited to attend the Video DJ Glow Party. If they sell 5 or more boxes the student goes to the Glow Party, and they get a sticky hand that they can use to grab money from the middle of a circle. The top seller gets $50.00 and a party bot in addition to all those things mentioned above.

8th grade teachers are hard at work looking at student test data so they can plan great lessons for their students

PBIS Rewards

On Friday, September 30th, students were able to cash in their PBIS reward stamps for prizes, which included bracelets, candy, school supplies, t-shirts, water bottles, and more. This was the first prize redemption of the year. Many of our students chose to bank their stamps to save for larger prizes. We are proud of our students for their great behavior starting our school year. Super work, Falcons!
