July Parent Newsletter

We're Back!

Greetings Japhet Jaguar Parents! I hope you and your families are enjoying the summer. The start of the school year is right around the corner and the admin team and I have hit the ground running. Please know that the office staff, the Assistant Principals and I are back from summer break. If you have any questions or still need to register for this school year please call the school.

Our school-wide theme this year is "There's No Place Like Japhet" (Wizard of Oz theme). We are excited to get the students back in the building and do what we love to do, TEACH. I look forward to partnering with you as we educate the future leaders of America.

Please read this newsletter thoroughly as it addresses the updated school uniform, summer school, as well as upcoming dates to be aware of. As soon as the supply list is finalized I will send it out.

Have a great rest of the summer and I'll see you all soon.

SAISD has updated the dress code. Uniforms are still required, however, students now have choice in their bottoms.

As a PK - 8th grade Academy we are following the general rules specified in the policy. The biggest difference is that students MAY WEAR JEANS as part of the uniform. Collared white or royal blue shirts ARE REQUIRED.

Below you will find the updated dress code, please find time to review it.

Once the school year gets started our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) will sell school-spirit shirts for students and parents to order.

Japht is offering Summer Jumpstart Intersession I from July 19 - 30 to front-load or provide bridge learning for students, so that students start the school year on grade-level or program-ready. This is also an opportunity to participate in fun enrichment activities such as STEM, Art and Music.

We highly encourage all Japhet students in PK - 8th to participate in the intersessions. Registration is a 2-STEP PROCESS.
