Lessons Learned in Slate Valley

Celebrating the amazing work of our educators and students

FHUHS Hybrid Learning

Moving to “hybrid learning” requires attention to both in-person and remote learning. There are a number of different approaches educators at Fair Haven Union High School have taken to “hybrid learning”. See below:

Big picture

Shout Out to Slate Valley Music Classes

Like all teachers, music teachers across Slate Valley have had to make some significant changes to how they teach this year. In order to follow Covid-19 safety protocols students are not allowed to sing in the classroom. We would like to celebrate our music department who is taking this challenge in stride and embracing their new reality. Music teachers have been seen using bucket drums, rhythm sticks, teaching outside, using technology to compose music, video editing to create concerts, and making other adjustments to their instruction. .

Tip Line and Specific Request

To share something awesome, email your coaches. We look forward to it!

For our next issue, we'd especially like to showcase some of the great cart setups/decorations that mobile teachers have. Send us some "my cart and me" selfies to include in the next issue.
