WELCOME BACK, WELCOME BACK, WELCOME BACK

IT WAS A TONY TIGER GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT FIRST WEEK!

It was SO nice to see some of our students and staff back in the building this week. Although there are new procedures and we're all wearing masks, it's been awesome being back in school. Thanks for all that you are doing at home to help develop these habits with our students.

If you haven't completed your Return to Learn Online packet, please do so by Friday September 18th. All parents MUST have a ParentVue account. If you need assistance please call our office and we can help, 703-580-9665. Or email Mrs. Miller at millerdg@pwcs.edu

If you have not applied for free or reduced meal benefits please go to https://pwcsnutrition.com/ While you are able to pick up grocery kits curbside now, your applications will help with school funding.

PWCS has meal kits available every Monday and Thursday, 12-6 pm, at 52 different locations throughout the county. Stop by one of locations (listed at the link below) to pick up FREE food for your kids, ages 0-18. Zoom Suggestions for Parents - Just a few suggestions for parents during zoom live lessons with teachers.

  • Be sure your child has a comfortable learning space.
  • Look around at your child's surroundings prior to beginning the live lesson to ensure that there are no added distractions.
  • Be mindful about what family activities would potentially be heard/seen during your child's live lesson.
  • Please have students dress appropriately when on live camera.
  • Students/parents should not take photos, screenshots, record any video or audio lessons.
  • Please be sure your devices are charged and secured somewhere safe during sleeping hours.
  • Please don't jump into the live lesson to ask the teacher any questions. If you don't understand something, please send an email to the teacher so they can get back to you.
  • Recording of live lessons will begin this week.
  • Treat your teacher and classmates with respect and kindness in an email or any other communication.
  • School rules and guidelines for online use of technology still apply during Distance Learning.
