New 7th Grade Project!
Civilization - Due January 19th
ESSENTIAL QUESTION
Why do we compare different objects or ideas? How are civilizations and cells similar and different?
DESCRIPTION
In this project, students will create a model of an ancient civilization and compare/contrast it to a plant cell. While doing this, students will dig deep into research about a chosen civilization. With a group of 4, they will build a model and create a display board. Then individually, they will write a research paper detailing how the civilization was like a cell.
*Parents - Each group of 4 needs to have ONE trifold display board. They are less than $2. If no members of the group can do this, please let the teachers know and we will provide one.

Happy November! Break is almost here!
Happy November! Students and teachers of Rocky Mountain Middle School are getting more and more excited for the end of the trimester and Thanksgiving break, which are both in two weeks. Last week we had a food drive for veterans,so thanks to all the support our veterans! Pip's group brought the most in at 148 cans, but everyone else was right behind! On Friday, we had a big veterans assembly at 8:40 in the RMMS gym, which was very powerful to watch! The Seventh & Eighth graders were assigned a new project on Wednesday, the 8th. The Jaguar Mascot Kidnapper made his appearance this week and said he would not return the mascot until everyone had turned in the PROVE IT! Project. Check out the video below (what you won't see is the entire 7th grade chasing after him...because we ended the video as we were not expecting that!)
Keep working hard Jaguar, and have a great week!
