The Garden by Tracy Reynolds
On Friday the 3rd graders get to eat the alien vegetable as the gardener called it kohlrabi in a salad. Thank you Cynthia Miller for helping prepare the salad. Ask you students if they tried it and what they thought. The kids really do eat vegetables that they grow in the garden.
Help is needed with watering and garden maintenance. If you can help, even just once, please email tracy.b.reynolds@gmail.com.
The 3rd graders really enjoy garden days. The next garden dates are January 24 , and February 7th.

Happy New Year! Below you will find the training schedules for the Spring Semester. Besides the regular SRC demos, 3rd and 5th grades will also be attending Nature Trails in February. In order to attend this field trip as a volunteer, you must attend a training session. The final training for this field trip is listed in the links below, under the appropriate grade level. Please take a look at the links below and see which trainings you can attend!
Demo trainings are generally good for 3 years, unless the demo has changed. If you feel you need a “refresher”, feel free to sign up for a demo training. If you are comfortable teaching a demo based on your past training, email copelandsrc@gmail.com to be added to the trained volunteer list.
Simply click on the link below for the corresponding grade level and sign up for ONE of the available training times per Demo. After completion of training, email copelandsrc@gmail.com and I will add you to the trained volunteer list and provide you with demo dates at Copeland!
