Inspiring respect, responsibility, resiliency & success.
Hello CCS families! The return to normal has made this school year seem incredibly busy but super enjoyable. We have had the return of a full school Terry Fox run which raised $8547.70. An incredible total from a school that never disappoints when it comes to fundraising. We have also returned to in-person full school assemblies, we did our first Houses activity (multi-grade games) in over 2 years, sent grades 2-5 to swimming lessons and we just had our Parent Teacher Interviews which were very well attended. The return of these events has returned the community feel to our school and makes the building feel so alive. Volleyball has also returned with our athletes competing in exhibition matches with Whispering Ridge and Harry Balfour. We also played in the Charles Spencer tournament that took place at the new GP COMP gym.
As a school this year we have really focused on what it means to be a Clairmont Kodiak, with an emphasis on our Kodiak Code (Respect, Responsibility and Resilience). This focus helps give us an identity which we believe is essential to a successful school. Please ask your child what these terms mean to them and how they show off these skills at CCS.
Coming up in November we have a Remembrance Day ceremony at the school on Nov 10th which families are invited to attend. Rock Your Moc’s Nov 15th and our report cards go home Nov 24th. Stay tuned for more information about our December Christmas concert and like years gone by we plan to do a Christmas lunch for our students Dec 16th.
I hope everyone has a great November and December and like always, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to call.
Bye for now
THANK YOU for your continued fundraising efforts that help make a difference
for our students & our school!
