2/21/21 Young School Newsletter
February is Black History Month.
Dear Young Families,
We are proud of our Young students as they continue to work very hard on their learning as they practice and reinforce their skills whether they are hybrid or remote. We are also grateful for the partnership and support that we have from our families.
Young hybrid students have reviewed safety lessons and safety procedures for lockdown, tornado, and fire drills. Last week we completed a practice lockdown drill. This week we will practice a tornado drill. When the outside weather improves we will have a fire drill as well.
Please remember that there is no school on Thursday (2/25) or Friday (2/26) of this week due to Parent-Teacher Conferences and a District Institute Day.
When you have a chance, please take a few minutes to complete the 5Essentials Survey for parents. Our school is looking for 20% of our parents to complete the survey. Please visit the survey link at Visit 5 Essentials Survey Link,
Sincerely,
Ms. Morgan
This Week At Young
- 2/25: PTA Restaurant Day at Lil Pops
Fundraising through restaurant nights takes on a different meaning this year. Not only do we work with a restaurant willing to give back to the school, we support a local restaurant during this financially challenged year. On Thursday, February 25th we have the opportunity to partner with Little Pops Pizzeria here in Aurora. They are located in the same parking lot as Mariano's and will be taking orders all day during their business hours for pick-up or delivery. See the flier for instructions Lil Pops Restaurant Flyer to ensure your order counts toward the fundraiser. We may not be able to be together, but we can still share a meal in spirit.
- 2/25: No School (remote or hybrid) Parent Teacher Conferences (1pm - 8 pm)
- 2/26: No School (remote or hybrid) District Institute Day
