Marauder Moments
Williamson HS Newsletter - November 2018
Dear Williamson Families,
We hope you have had success in logging into your Schoology account. You have received your access code in the mail. We have had positive feedback so far, and hope it will be user-friendly and a great way for you to stay connected to what your children are doing here. If you have lost your access code or need help getting logged in for the first time, give us a call. We will also have these available along with some assistance navigating the site at our Report Card Night later this month.
Report cards will be issued mid-month. Please encourage your child to make good use of any study hall time they may have. Some students benefit from a few moments of down-time, as long as it doesn't interfere with completing work. Most students will have more work to do outside of school. If your child says they have nothing due or to work on, please check Schoology. With the exception of a few meetings here and there, our staff are here 10th period to support students, help them understand tricky concepts, and give them a supported space to do work. If your children aren't staying after with a teacher at least once in awhile, it is worth a conversation with them about how they can use the supports we have here in place.
For our new parents to the high school, please ensure that when your children are out for appointments or illness that you alert our attendance desk at 589-9621, extension 3 or email hsattendance@williamsoncentral.org. We understand that kids get sick or have appointments you can't schedule outside of the school day. That said, we want to stress that unless your child is contagious or seriously ill, we really need them here in school to stay on top of their schoolwork. Students also need to maintain good attendance to keep school privileges like parking, eligibility to participate in events, and early dismissal for seniors.
Sincerely, Dr. Avery and Miss Chaya
