Thunderbolt Times

November 2021

Happy November Thunderbolt Families!

This year has flown by so fast, and we are extremely grateful that we have our students on campus learning, growing and experiencing all that Desert Sky has to offer. We are quickly approaching the holiday season, and all of the hustle and bustle that comes along with it. Please take a moment to review the important dates below, and note days off and school breaks.

A few reminders regarding the Holiday Season:

-Please remember that students are not permitted to participate in the exchange of gifts during the school day. If a student does bring a gift, staff will ask them to please keep it in the front office to be picked up at the end of the school day. We know this can be frustrating for students and parents alike, but this rule is in place to ensure continuity of instruction without class disruption.

-Holiday snacks brought in for the classroom are not permitted. We have students on campus that have nutritional restrictions, and we want to be sure to provide a safe environment for them.

Fry's Community Rewards

Did you know that Fry's Food stores offers a community rewards program designed to give back to local organizations and educational establishments? It's easy to sign up, just visit Fry's website to enroll (be sure to choose Desert Sky in Glendale), and every time you use your rewards phone number or card, we earn money. Last quarter we had a total of 85 families enrolled, and earned $281.57 for our school. Just imagine the financial impact if we could double the amount of families enrolled! Our goal is to add an additional 25 families this quarter, so please consider sharing this link with friends and family. We will continue to post our quarterly earnings summary throughout the year.
