From the Principal's Desk...
Parents and Guardians,
Thank you to everyone who supported our Walk-a-thon last week. Even though the weather didn't cooperate, the students still had a great time. I really enjoyed watching our students interact with each other and celebrate reaching our goal. Thanks again to our Walk-a-thon chairs who put in countless hours to make this day special for our students.
Our next event will be the St. John’s Gala on November 13th. We will be hosting a preview party on November 6th after 4:30 mass in the gathering space at St. John the Baptist. Please feel free to stop by and purchase raffle tickets for one of our baskets or purchase an out of uniform pass for your student(s). This is our largest fundraiser for the school and the proceeds from this event will help keep tuition costs down for our families. If you are interested in attending the event or purchasing raffle tickets online, please visit our givesmart page @ https://e.givesmart.com/events/mZi/. We are still looking for a few volunteers to help at the event. If you are interested, please email me at cweinheimer@stjohnsdrschool.org, and I will forward it to our committee. Our committee has done an amazing job making this event a success, so please consider supporting the event anyway you can.
Lastly, thank you to all the parents who have had to deal with the bussing issues thus far this year. I know this is not ideal, and I appreciate the sacrifices families are making in order to get their children to school when a bus route is cancelled. Hopefully, this will not continue much longer. We will continue to send out the canceled routes over the weekend so parents can be prepared.
I hope everyone has a great week.
