FJVD Weekly Info
We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
Dear FJVD Families,
What a great week at Fr. Doyle! Art students celebrated International Dot Day, our Singing Saints Choir had their first practices, Fr. Woolley blessed each of our classes, and we had a visit from Paul Effman Music. Not to mention academics are in full swing, and students are already working hard in their classrooms!
Looking ahead to next week we have our Opening School Mass on Monday at 1:00pm. All families are invited to attend! Our cross country team also competes for the first time this season on Wednesday evening, September 11th. Go Saints! Lastly, Saturday, September 14th is our 5th Annual Car Show & Vendor Fair. We hope to see everyone there!
In addition, I would like to invite any and all interested parents to our first Breakfast with the Principal to be held Tuesday, September 17th from 8:10am-8:45am. Join me in the lunchroom for a light breakfast of coffee, muffins, and donuts. I look forward to our conversation! You can RSVP here. Breakfast with the Principal will be held regularly throughout the school year, and I will do my best to alternate days and times to make it available to as many families as possible.
Drop-Off Procedures
Beginning Monday, September 9th, there will be a slight alteration to morning drop-off procedures. Starting Monday, students will no longer wait outside on the blacktop until 7:45. Instead, all students should enter the school through the front door and proceed directly to the gym, regardless of weather conditions. The gymnasium is a more contained space away from the active parking lot, and therefore creates a safer place for students, particularly our youngest ones, to socialize in the morning.
Please note that morning care and parking lot driving patterns remain the same. Please utilize the spots in front of the gym for immediate drop-off only. There is no parking in these spots. In addition, when utilizing the drop-off spots, please pull all the way up to the first available spot.
A PDF with parking lot diagrams and detailed directions is included under Important Forms and Documents below.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. May God bless you and your family in the week ahead!
Go Saints!
Sincerely,
Mr. Peloquin

Bottle Cap Drive
We’re excited to share that our school is part of the Coca-Cola Give program. This opens up
Father John V. Doyle School to new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for students. The best part? Donations don’t come out of your own pocket. When you make Coca-Cola purchases, you simply send in bottle caps or product codes from boxes of beverages and our school receives a donation.
All caps and codes should be sent to Mr. Godin. Codes will be entered on one account to gain larger and quicker donations.
Thank you!
