Learning Walkthroughs (LWT)
The LWT is a quick 5-ish minute walkthrough designed to promote conversations about teaching and learning. After the LWT, each teacher will receive an email with LWT information. Indicators (to include 6, 7, 8, 9, and 13) are noted as observed or not observed. If you receive a "Not Observed" it simply means it was not seen in the short time during the class.
I've attached the basic template and some additional information for you. After the LWT, we will carve out a few minutes to talk.
6. Students are engaged in flexible groups
7. Learning tasks incorporate formative assessment to guide the ongoing learning process.
* 8. Goals/objectives are communicated beyond being posted and referred to by teachers or students as they voice their understanding of learning goals
9. Lesson tasks require productive struggle, problem-solving, or reasoning.
* 13. Students support written and/or spoken opinions with evidence from text and/or other content-specific resources
