Eighth Grade Washington, D.C. Trip
The planning of this trip really began last year as soon as the 2017 trip was over. Mr. Doug Collins, our SMS Guidance Counselor, was in charge of making all of the arrangements from booking hotel rooms, reserving buses, arranging for food along the way, securing chaperones, providing wheelchairs needed for students, etc., etc., etc..... The week before the trip was filled with last minute details. But, having done this trip for several years, Mr. Collins had it under control.
We are happy to report that all students and chaperones returned to the school on Saturday, October 15. No one was lost along the way!!!
When talking with some of the eighth graders, most of them seemed to enjoy the trip. The least favorite part was all of the walking. The most favorite seemed to be the boat ride.
A huge shout out needs to go to Mr. Collins and all of those people who helped make this trip a reality for our eighth graders. This is a huge undertaking each year.
Seventh Grade Happenings
The seventh grade students and teachers will also be touring the Dubois County Jail that day.
Robotics Club
Mr. Baseden has provided a gif of photos he has taken of club members in action.
Raider PRIDE
If you had zero infractions, you can participate for FREE. If you had infractions but would still like to participate, you can purchase an event ticket for 5 Raider Bucks on October 10 in the gym.
We look forward to celebrating with you!
