Looking Back

I would like to start by thanking you ALL for a great week of testing! I know that a lot of hard work went into preparing your students so that they were ready for their big day. I would also like to thank you for the preparation you put into creating your testing groups and emailing them to Mr. Tharp and myself. At this weeks faculty meeting I will be asking for your input and feedback on how we can make the next round of testing go smoother for you.

Looking Ahead

We have a few things happening this week that you will need to know about.

I will be off campus tomorrow (Monday) for the A&M Job Fair. Mr. Tharp will be on campus and I am no more than a phone call away. Please call or text if you need anything.

Nurse Walla has sent out many emails explaining Shattered Dreams and had the mandatory faculty meeting this past Wednesday to deliver more information. I will just remind you of a few things. Monday morning the students will report to first period and only High School students will be called from their classes to report to the gym. While in the gym, they will listen to a recording of a dispatcher sending the police and ambulance to the scene of an accident. They will then load the buses and head to Navasota where they will be at the "scene of the accident." They should be back to the HS campus by 11:00 am. Once back they will hear a heartbeat over the intercom every 15 minutes. A Grimm Reaper will be there to remove the selected students from the classroom. Tuesday we will have an assembly, for the HS students only, from 10:15 - 11:25.

This week is our Scholastic's Book Fair....Books Gone Hollywood Extravaganza

Thursday - Dress like your favorite movie/book character. Oscar acceptance speeches due by 3:30

On Wednesday we will have our scheduled faculty meeting starting, in the library, at 3:45.

Also, our next testing days are quickly approaching; please email me your testing groups. I would like those groups no later than this Wednesday so that I can verify testing accommodations for our 504 and Special Education students with the co-op. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know as soon as possible.
