6th Grade - Rhapsody in Blue (FINAL SONG)!

The 6th graders have made it to their final song in the travel through time unit! This week we learned the opening of the clarinet solo from "Rhapsody in Blue". Next week they need to perform this piece at 75 bpm.

We are going to have a mini celebration and friendly competition with the 6th grade band on April 14 during school (9:50 AM - 11:20 AM). Students will be performing ALL the pieces they learned as well as be quizzed on their trivia facts for points. After the competition, we will have a celebratory lunch with pizza and a huge cake! I handed out a sheet this week during morning rehearsal to let me know if your student is planning on eating the pizza and cake lunch. If they are, please send it back with $5. If not, please send it back saying they are bringing their own lunch so that I don't count them for pizza. If you have any questions, please let me know!
