THE WEDNESDAY MESSAGE!
The Official Weekly of Salford Hills Elementary School
Our Journey Begins
Through the help of our district digital video expert, Henry Franz, I made this brief orientation highlighting a few changes that await students participating through our in-person learning program. We'll travel to classrooms, the cafeteria, the recess field and other locations of note. We'll talk about how some students arrive and leave school on buses and how others have moms and dads give them a ride to and from school. And I'll affirm that we wear masks not only for reasons of safety, but as expressions of kindness for those with whom we learn daily.
As many families contemplate in-person learning, i hope you find this brief view interesting and informative. Enjoy.
Look for more protocols and specific nuances of the year in the next few Wednesday Messages.
Always... thank you for supporting what we're trying to accomplish this year.
David Purnell, Ed.D.
Principal, Salford Hills Elem. School

Home and School
The year ahead appears to be full of new adventures as we anticipate a school season unlike any we have ever known. The board has been meeting over the summer to ready some ways our Salford Hills community can serve and work together this school year. Whether you will be at Salford Hills in-person or attending the Online Academy, we are excited to partner with you. Look for some more information coming your way in the next few weeks. In the meantime, mark your calendars for our first Home and School meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 7pm via Zoom. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, you can reach out via board@salfordhillshsa.org to contact all four board members: president (Danielle Moyer), vice-president (Lisa James), secretary (Stacy Caldwell), treasurer (Trish May). Enjoy your last few weeks of summer. We hope to see you soon!
