JOB DESCRIPTION
Part-Time Elementary Outreach Teacher
DEPARTMENT: Outreach Program
REPORTS TO: High School Principal
WORK DAYS: Three days per week
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Outreach Program is a parent partnership program that includes significant participation and partnership with parents in the design and implementation of a student's learning experience.
DUTIES:
Teacher will work with the family to develop a written student learning plan for each student.
Teacher will supervise, monitor, assess, evaluate, and document student learning at weekly teacher/student meetings and keep clear student records on file.
Teacher will provide curriculum for each student to meet individual student needs.
Demonstrate professional behaviors in action and appearance at all times.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED ABILITIES:
Experience in building effective relationships with students in and out of the classroom.
Ability to communicate and build a good working relationship with parents.
Ability to be organized and be able to keep detailed student records.
EDUCATION:
Must have valid Washington State certification with appropriate endorsements to meet the need of the position.
MANDATORY CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Successful clearance of the FBI and Washington State Patrol fingerprint background check.
- Successful Washington State Sexual Misconduct clearance.
- Completion of Federal I-9, Employment Verification Eligibility form.
