How people depend on the government- Peoples' lives are based on exportation of sugar and other cashcrops, so changing the prices would affect the Dominican Republic

- La bandera is a traditional dish that is very popular in Santo Domingo

Accommodation to the environment- Having air conditioning and fans in their houses because of the extreme hot conditions
How people depend on the government- Depend on the government's effort on increasing recreational activities so tourism will increase, therefore earning more money

- Rastafari movement- expression through reggae music
- English is the official language of Jamaica
- There are many Christian churches in the city, and most of them are Protestant
- Many houses in Kingston are small and colorful
- Jerk chicken and jerk pork are very popular foods in Kingston
