Vivaldi's Early Life
Antonia Vivaldi was born on March 4, 1678 in Venice, Italy where he lived for most of his life. He had 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Vivaldi studied composing, violin,and priesthood. He suffered from tightening of the chest which means he had asthma. Then, he was offered a job at a music school where he taught girls for 40 years and gave them the opportunity to play music in public. The girls sat on a higher level than the audience and had their faces covered by and iron lattice.

This is a map of Venice, during the 1631 because Vivaldi was born 46 years earlier and spent most of his life there. He studied and taught music at Ospedale della Pieta until he was offered a job with his friend, King Charles VI. But soon after Vivaldi started working at his new job, the king died. Vivaldi was unemployed and died a year later from internal inflammation. He had a very cheap funeral and was buried on a field that has disappeared.

Vivaldi's Four Seasons
The Four Seasons is Vivaldi's most famous piece. It has 4 concerto's, each with 3 movements. There is a violin solo and a string orchestra. Although he was always employed for most of his life, many times he was offered short term jobs. During his term in Mantua, he composed the Four Seasons. He was inspired by the Baroque period and his surroundings to compose this piece. It is still famous now and featured in many commercials and movies.

Vivaldi's Legacy
Vivaldi lived a great life and accomplished many things that still are known today, as well as many others during the Baroque period. His greatest legacy is the Four Seasons. It's very well known and used in media today. His ability to compose so many pieces and be able to play along with them while suffering with asthma amazed many people. He also paved the way for women in the music and composing industry, proving to the public how well women can play instruments.
