END OF QUARTER
LEAVING EARLY/ARRIVING LATE
If your child will be leaving early for an appointment, please have your child bring a note to school for their teacher. The teacher will send your child to the office at the specified time where your child will sign out and office staff will watch for your arrival. If your child will be arriving late, you may call the office or send a note inside with your child. All students arriving late must check-in to the office before going to their classroom. If you send an e-mail to the child's teacher, please be sure to include Mary Stark, School Receptionist at StarkM@MyLakeCountrySchool.org
At this time students may not bring treats to share with the class to celebrate birthdays and holidays.
BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETINGS
The Lake Country School Board of Education is a five-member board that operates according to Wisconsin statute, federal law, and Board of Education policy. The board meets monthly, year-round onsite at Lake Country School to guide the district and work toward maximizing student achievement. Please view the meeting calendar on our website. www.MyLakeCountrySchool.org > My School > Board of Education
LEARNING OPTIONS UPDATE
Virtual learners need a distraction free zone to focus on learning. In addition, households with virtual learners need access to a printer or a .pdf editor (Adobe, Kami, Lumin, etc.). Supplies set out for virtual students in the front lobby need to be picked up on a consistent and timely basis
In-person and virtual learners must arrive on time and be ready to learn. If your child is not in attendance, be aware that Google Meets cannot be recorded due to pupil privacy protections.

A LETTER FRON THE GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT
Dear LCS Families,
With the cooler temperatures approaching and our safety measures of open windows and being outside when possible, appropriate clothing and winter gear will be necessary for children. We understand that many families will need new clothing and winter gear and may not have the financial abilities to fund all their needs. Typically, the LCS Rummage sale was a option for many families to meet these needs which was cancelled this year. Lake Country Caring is another option to support families with clothing and household items that are in need of financial assistance. They are accepting donations of new or gently used items on Monday’s from 9-11:30 am. If you are in need of winter clothing and gear, please contact Mrs. Thurin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
At this time, we are unsure of how Caring and Sharing will look but we will try to help support our local families during the holidays. If you are in need holiday assistance, I encourage you to apply to the Christmas Clearing Council. For information on how to qualify and to fill out an online application, visit: www.christmasclearingcouncil.org/get-help. Deadline to apply is MONDAY, Nov. 16, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. *No late applications will be accepted. Email any questions to: email@example.com.
