Dippin' Dots
We started selling Dippin' Dots Yogurt Dots during lunch last week. We are selling them for $3.00 and the proceeds will go to our WatchDOG program and Positive Behavior Supports.
In addition, we are using it an experience for our students in the Life Skill Class to work on IEP goals in real life situations. They will be working alongside students in their grade level working in the student store selling Dippin' Dots.
We will resume this coming Thursday when the next shipment comes in.

Message from O'Brien Middle School - Incoming 6th & 7th Graders
We will continue to be a “Phone Away for the Day” school next year, which means that student cell phones are required to be kept out of sight unless permission is given by a staff member to utilize a device for supervised academic or family communication needs. Because each student at O’Brien will be issued a lap top and a lap top case, all learners will have the ability to access technology rich learning experiences without utilizing cell phones. This is a part of our ongoing effort to keep social media distractions and non-school related screen time out of the way of student learning and success. In support of this effort we have partnered with Indieflix Education to get all of our Lion Families no-cost access to a video that we are encouraging everyone to sit down and watch with their learners next week. This video is about the impacts that phone use and social media have on our children. The link below will be opened and accessible for you to view using firefox or Google Chrome internet browers between May 16th at 7am through May 24th at 11:30pm.

The link will require you to utilize an email and to create a username and password. This content is so vital and we encourage you to create your account before watching this as a family.
Lastly, next week we will host our Future Lion Family Night at 5:00pm in the Cafeteria at O’Brien Middle School on Tuesday May17th. This event will offer you the opportunity to get all of your questions answered regarding our transition to the new building next year. You will also have the opportunity to hear the latest news on what your student’s learning experiences will be like! Please feel free to swing by even if you aren’t able to make it right at 5:00pm. Principal Baker will be available for a special Q & A session which will begin at towards the end of Future Lion Family Night around 5:45pm. We are so excited to meet you!
