8TH GRADE COMPLETION CEREMONY
Students who have met all criteria (see below) will be participating the Completion Ceremony Celebration
When: June 14, 2022 from 1:00pm - 2:30pm
· For students who are eligible and plan to attend the ceremony, they will need to exit campus before the ceremony begins. Students can begin to line up at the entrance gate (south end of the office) beginning at 12:30pm.
What: Walk Through Completion Ceremony
Where: Around the Wangenheim Office Building
· Families will need to park and enter the school from the Westchester entrance. The Black Mountain entrance will be closed. The Gold Coast entrance will be open for families who are walking
How: Students and their families are welcome to line up at the gate to the south of the office building along the parking lot sidewalk. Each student and family will get to walk through the ceremony to receive their completion certificate (please see below).
· Each student will receive a ribbon lei.
· Counselors will announce students' names.
· Students will walk the red carpet through the balloon arch to receive their certificate.
· The paparazzi are invited to take photos at two different photo backdrops.
· PTSA is providing a “Spin ‘n’ Win” opportunity
· Yearbooks will be available for sale ($45 CASH ONLY).
Students who are ineligible/unable to participate will receive their certificate in their 6th period class.

Esports Coach of the Year
Trieu was nominated by Mira Mesa students for the award, where he and several candidates from across the nation were evaluated by an HSEL panel.
The prestigious recognition is the latest development for the growing Mira Mesa esports team, which in recent years has grown from a small, loosely organized club into a nationally-recognized program.
