The World of Westwood Wolves

Choose Your Own Adventure!

November 1-5, 2021

From the principal's office...

What a fun week at Westwood! We had our 5 days of dress up, pumpkin decorating, and Halloween festivities. We were able to do our costume parade this year, and my heart was so happy to see the smiles on our kids' faces.

Can you believe it's already November?!? That means we will have our mobile food pantry Tuesday afternoon at 3:30- it's always the first Tuesday of the month.

We are over halfway through the semester, so as a reminder, the attendance policy states that students may only miss 7 days in a semester. It's super important that kids are in school every day learning (unless they have a fever or stomach issues, of course). Our amazing social worker and counselor met with me to look at student attendance this morning, and we have quite a few students who have missed 4-5 days already (and some more). I'm also going to be touching base with parents who have excessive tardies. Thanks so much to those of you who always have your kiddos here on time!

Masks- many of our students are still wearing masks, and we so appreciate that! We've had lower numbers of COVID cases than many other schools, and we are so thankful. If your child wants a mask, please continue to provide one. We have many students coming to the office every morning (often the same kids) to get masks from us, and we do not have many extras. We appreciate your continued support.

Have a wonderful weekend and a safe Halloween if you celebrate!

Love,

Mrs. Crumby (your proud principal)
