WMMS Tiger Times
Dear WMMS Families,
Our Math Team students competed at the regional contest on February 25th. They came home with several medals! The team comprising Hana Yanagi, Mary Frushour, Alexis Beeler, and Maryam Akhtar won the top middle school team. Three teams placed in the top 4 of the Team Sweepstakes. In addition to the team awards, we had ten students place individually. We have four students advancing to the State Contest on March 11th: Lexi Gardner, Solomia Beregovska, Hana Yanagi, and Zach Wilson. We wish them good luck at state! Go Tigers!
We have a lot of things happening during March. The third quarter ends on March 10th, followed by Spring Break and an extra day off for students due to a Staff PD Day on March 20th. Student Council has purchased two microwaves for the student body to use at lunch. Microwaves will begin in 4th quarter. Immediately following Spring Break, the first Friday back, March 24th, will be the last Fun Night of the year. See the flyer below for more details. Our 7th and 8th Grade track and field athletes will begin competing in meets towards the end of March. We will continue highlighting our students who excelled academically and in their character by giving out Student of the Week awards every Friday.
