Fifth grade students imagined themselves as a Greek or Roman bust sculpture and practiced shading to create the illusion of dimension. | In Greek mythology, Pegasus was a winged horse that had many adventures before Zeus turned him into a constellation. Ask a second grader to tell you more about Pegasus and the concept of foreshortening that they used in these paintings. | Mrs. Bush challenged third graders to draw and paint a hideous one-eyed Cyclops as they learned about these mythical creatures. They practiced using scale to show how giant a Cyclops would have been. |
Fourth graders demonstrated three different columns in architecture and used shaving cream and liquid watercolor paints to make the marbled look on their colums. | First grade students created their own version of the Pantheon, one of the best preserved monuments of ancient Rome. |
