Howdy Hounds!
Wow! Saturday night was one for the books! Thank you to everyone that game to the Huggins Gala. It was amazing to see the support of our community come together for our hounds! A special thank you to all of the sponsors and our FOH. I'm already looking forward to next year!
Congratulations to our fourth graders on their musical. In case you didn't already know...we have lots of talent running through these hallways. We also want to send a special shout out to Mr. Giffin, our music teacher, for his dedication to our music program.
As I shared last week, we continue to have quite a few students arriving after the tardy bell. Please remember that our school day starts at 7:30. It is essential that are students are in their classrooms by that time, as this is the time teachers start instruction. Please note that if you arrive after 7:30, you will need to park and check in your child to the front office, as the side gate will be closed and our car line staff need to get to their classrooms. Our doors open at 7:00am and there continues to be a minimal line between 7:00-7:20.
Our second graders will be attending their field trip to Dewberry Farms on Wednesday, April 13th. Kindergarteners will be headed to the Oil Ranch on Thursday, April 14th. Please be sure to review your classroom newsletters for details.
Please remember that we do not have school this Friday, April 15th or Monday or Monday, April 18th.
We wish our hounds a fantastic week ahead!
Sincerely,
Bethany Cunningham
Principal

School Meals...
Lamar CISD has announced its participation in the Seamless Summer Option for the 2021-2022 school year, offering healthy meals every school day to all students at no cost.
Typically, a student’s household must meet income eligibility requirements to qualify for free or reduced-price meals. However, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued guidance that allows schools to offer meals to all students at no cost for the 2021-2022 school year.
While no application or eligibility determination is required for our students to receive free meals this school year, income eligibility requirements will likely resume in the 2022-2023 school year.
Extra lunch entrees and a la carte items are not included with the no cost meals.
