Classroom Dojo
I'm guessing that you have heard your kids talk about earning and spending Dojo points in the classroom. I've used Classroom Dojo for several years as an incentive tool for turning in homework on time. I've just recently started using it this school year for classroom management. This class seems to respond well to the instant feedback that they are receiving from Dojo. I am updating their points every 30 minutes (as time allows). Students earn Dojo points for being respectful, productive (on task), responsible, and safe. Points are deducted for being disrespectful, unproductive (off task), irresponsible, and unsafe. The students are able to "purchase" classroom prizes with their Dojo points each morning. I will send each of you a link so that you can see how your child's day is going by their earning or losing Dojo points. Keep in mind that when they purchase prizes, it will look like they are losing points. It is just me subtracting their purchase from their total.
